On a bright morning in 1993 Maymar Charitable Trust was conceived in the minds and hearts of a few who had risen above and saw the plight of a few others in the depths of poverty in education, health and economy. Their concern and thoughtfulness about the darkness in this part of our society culminated in a resolve to build society by providing what they could afford. Thus Maymar [meaning "builder"] was born and is registered as Maymar Charitable Trust, Bangalore.

A humble start was made by raising Rs 50,000 as funds and using it to support about 48 school students. Since then, Maymar has consistently grown winning more and more hearts on both sides as a catalyst to charitable activities.
